The Association of African Election Authorities is committed to promoting democratic, credible, and peaceful elections across Africa. To achieve this objective, the Association supports Election Management Bodies (EMBs) at continental, regional, and national levels in the effective discharge of their mandates, fostering professional, independent, and resilient electoral institutions. The AAEA also contributes to the prevention and peaceful resolution of election-related conflicts and disputes, recognizing the importance of electoral integrity and stability for democratic governance. Through its expertise and peer-to-peer network, the Association provides advisory support on electoral reforms and facilitates the exchange of experiences and best practices among its members. Furthermore, the AAEA actively builds partnerships and cooperation with like-minded organizations around the world, strengthening global collaboration in support of democratic development, professional election administration, and the advancement of electoral standards.
